    About our client

    Harrison Oils is a long‑established, family‑run business with over 50 years of experience in the oil industry, based in Garstang, Lancashire. The owners approached the PM+M corporate finance team seeking support with an exit strategy. Richard Harrison had dedicated his entire career to the business and had reached a point where he wished to retire and relocate with his wife to be closer to family. With no clear successor in place, he recognised that a business sale was the most appropriate route forward and engaged with PM+M to kickstart the process.

They successfully marketed the business and identified a suitable buyer who the client felt confident would be able to step in a ensure a solid future for their family business. Given that the buyer was a listed company, the transaction required additional layers of due diligence. PM+M worked closely with the buy-side advisers and coordinated communications with multiple parties involved. Acting as project managers for the sellers, they managed due diligence requests, maintained clear communication channels, and ensured that both soft and hard deadlines were met throughout the process. PM+M’s approach delivered a timely, smooth transaction that resulted in a successful sale for the client.
