When dealing with the estate of a loved one, PM+M understand that successfully navigating all that needs to be done can be daunting and time-consuming.
Through offering specialist probate support services, our team are here to help you. Our expertise in the area of probate allows us to guide you through the process and provide whatever advice you need, leaving you to focus on what is important to you and your family.
We launched our probate service a couple of years ago following regulatory changes in 2014 that allowed accountancy firms to become licensed to act in cases of non-contentious probate – an area that was previously only open to solicitors.
Our probate support service complements PM+M’s other areas of expertise for private clients across our tax and financial planning teams, including inheritance tax and estate planning, financial planning and producing Lasting Powers of Attorney. Our existing involvement in the financial and tax affairs of our clients means we are ideally placed to manage their estates and support their families through the probate process.
Prior to launching our probate advisory services, three of our private client experts went through the rigorous process of becoming licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants to provide non-contentious probate services. Jane Parry, Wendy Anderson and Stella Rosthorn are also qualified Trust and Estate Practitioners with STEP and are well versed in all aspects of estates and inheritance tax.
Our managing partner, Jane Parry, says, “We’re really pleased to be able to support our clients in this area, and our focus is on delivering bespoke advice based on each client’s individual needs. As well as our core probate team, our team’s wide-ranging expertise in all matters of tax and personal financial planning means that we are ideally placed to provide whatever support our clients and their families need”.
