This month, PM+M is celebrating ten years since opening its first office in Bury, a milestone marked with a drinks reception attended by clients, contacts and colleagues.
Since launching in 2016 at Waterfold Business Park with a team of seven, PM+M Bury has grown to more than 25 specialists through sustained local and regional recruitment. The firm, which doubled its office size in 2023 after moving to Sandringham House, has welcomed new talent at every level from apprentice through to director – this has enabled it to expand its full-service offering in Bury. It now has dedicated teams covering Cloud Accounting, Audit, Personal Tax, and Accounts and Advisory services. While each team brings deep expertise, PM+M operates as one integrated unit, ensuring clients benefit from seamless collaboration and a consistently high-quality experience.
The office’s advisory capabilities have also evolved, with PM+M’s Virtual Finance Office service launched last year and the firm’s VAT advisory offering strengthened in response to growing client demand. Together, these services reinforce the firm’s support for growing and ambitious Greater Manchester businesses.
PM+M’s commitment to the local community has long been central to its identity in Bury. The firm is now a proud sponsor of Bury FC, championing the club’s rise through the leagues, and remains a long standing supporter of Bury Hospice, with team members volunteering and taking part in numerous corporate fundraising initiatives. PM+M also sponsors the Bolton Beer Festival, further strengthening its contribution across Greater Manchester.
Over the past decade, PM+M Bury has played an important part in strengthening the region’s professional networks. The team regularly attends local groups such as Bury Means Business, Shout and GM Business Growth Hub, is an active member of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and co-hosts joint sponsored networking events with WHN Solicitors and Bury BID. Whilst senior members deliver keynote speeches at industry events across the region.
The firm continues to invest in client education too, delivering annual events covering the Chancellor’s Budget, employment and payroll changes, retirement planning and specialist events such as StackedX, bringing together finance and technology professionals to discuss cloud accounting, digital transformation and business growth.
Jill Morris, partner and head of PM+M’s Bury office, said: “Our Bury office has become a thriving hub of talent, expertise and community connection. Over the past ten years, we’ve grown our team, expanded our services and deepened our roots across Greater Manchester. This anniversary is a celebration of our people, our clients and the partnerships that have shaped our journey, and we’re excited for what comes next.”
