We are delighted to announce we have renewed sponsorship of the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce’s International Trade Club. This is the second year PM+M has joined forces with the Chamber to support its efforts in helping local businesses who have either export or import operations.
The International Trade Club is the oldest export club in the UK and was established in 1957. Its aim is to share best practice, provide access to a full range of international trade support and deliver guidance and encouragement to develop its members’ international trade activities. Members also receive regular e-bulletins detailing international trade issues and have the opportunity to enter the annual International Trade Club Awards.
The club meets five times each year. The format of each event varies but includes the opportunity for the 120+ members to network, share insights and hear from industry speakers who discuss the key issues that are directly affecting international trade.
Andy Kirkaldy, tax manager; Luqmaan Essa, director in the accounting + advisory team; and Jill Morris, partner in cloud accounting are PM+M’s representatives at the International Trade Club.
Andy Kirkaldy said: “PM+M has collaborated with the Chamber for many years – including partnering on workshops, events and seminars – so it’s great to renew our support of the International Trade Club as it does some amazing work helping East Lancashire businesses maximise opportunities in different territories. We are looking forward to adding value and playing our part in making the next 12 months a success.”
Mandy Lockett, International Business Director at East Lancashire Chamber added: “PM+M is one of the region’s most well-known and respected accountancy, business advisory and financial planning firms so it’s fantastic to secure their support for another year. The International Trade Club provides an important function for many firms and PM+M’s sponsorship will help us to continue delivering our services and build on what has already been achieved.”
“Trading internationally is challenging and local companies find tremendous support and inspiration at the International Trade Club from each other, invited specialists and most importantly our own experienced international teams who have extensive experience in exporting and importing – any business involved in manufacturing, importing or exporting can join the International Trade Club and do not need to battle alone”.
