Lancashire Day 2020: Q&A with PM+M Managing Partner Jane Parry

In celebration of Lancashire Day, and the end of Lancashire Business Week, we ran a short Q&A with PM+M’s managing partner, Jane Parry – talking all things Lancashire and doing business in our county.

Here’s what Jane had to say!

What does Lancashire mean to you?

Lancashire is home. It’s where I belong. I live here, I went to university here and I’ve spent the vast majority of my career here. I’m proud to be a Lancastrian.

What is doing business in Lancashire like?

Lancashire is a great place to do business. It’s full of great businesses led by inspirational people who tell it like it is and share a common pride in our region and what we can do. We’ve been home to world leading businesses since the industrial revolution and it’s great to see that innovation and growth is still very much present throughout the county.

What is your favourite thing about being part of the Lancashire community?

The fact that it is a community with a shared pride and sense of belonging.

How do you feel about the way Lancashire’s business community has adapted to COVID-19 challenges?

I’ve seen so many examples of businesses which have adapted to not only survive but prosper during the pandemic. Some by adapting to supply PPE or other necessary products, some by developing ground breaking new products and many by just focusing on keeping things going, looking after their people and getting on with it.
