PM+M is delighted to announce that our Fundraising for Faye challenge has successfully raised £5,502 for Pendleside Hospice (which translates to £6,308 including Gift Aid).
Our challenge was created to raise money in memory of our friend and colleague, Faye Holden, who sadly passed away at Pendleside Hospice in June after a battle with cancer.
Everyone at PM+M was incredibly saddened by the passing of Faye who was a much respected and valued member of the team. Faye joined PM+M in 2000 and over the years she became an integral part of the business. Her professionalism, passion for life and dedication to her clients shone through and we all miss her terribly. Losing Faye at such a young age is a huge loss, and we continue to extend our thoughts and condolences to her family and loved ones.
Starting on 1 August, our team set out to run, walk, swim, cycle or complete any other form of exercise to collectively cover the distance from Blackburn to New York (a staggering 3,320 miles) by 30 September.
How did we get on?
Not only did our team smash this target, but we actually achieved 3,320 miles within the first month of the challenge alone!
With that in mind, it seemed only right that we would extend our challenge. We increased our target mileage for remaining four weeks and aimed to complete another 3,320 miles for the return journey from New York to Blackburn, to bring it home for Faye.
Due to the dedication, hard work and excellent efforts of our team – throughout our challenge we achieved a total mileage of 7,843, meaning that we covered the distance from Blackburn to New York, the return journey and a little bit more!
Congratulations and a big well done to the PM+M team for this outstanding achievement and their enthusiasm throughout – we’re sure Faye would be very proud.
Finally, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our clients, contacts, family and friends who donated towards our fundraising. Your support for our challenge and Pendleside Hospice is so appreciated, and with your donations, the hospice will be able to continue delivering vital services during these difficult times.
If you haven’t donated yet but would like to, our JustGiving page will remain open for a little while longer. All donations (big or small) are very gratefully received, so please do visit our page if you can.
Once again, a very big thank you,
The PM+M team
