Over the last few weeks, the UK Government has been launching various initiatives to support businesses through the challenges and uncertainties arising from the spread of COVID-19. From our client discussions, it has become apparent that one of the most popular and beneficial for business owners is the employee furlough / Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, in which the Government has pledged to cover 80% of the salaries of retained workers who would otherwise be laid off (please see our recent blog for all the details of the scheme).
Whilst the introduction of the scheme is very much welcomed and will prove crucial in protecting livelihoods and jobs for millions of employers and employees across the country, the guidance on how to access the grant can often seem confusing and overfacing and is being updated by HMRC almost daily.
As a result, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new employee furlough service, in which our team will support you through the entire process, including any or all of the following:
– Preparing your claim or advising and supporting you as you prepare it
– Supporting with calculations (including those regarding associated Employers’ National Insurance contributions and auto-enrolment pension contributions)
– Making portal submissions
– Managing communication with HMRC on your behalf
– Staying on top of any HMRC updates / amendments to the scheme
