Cover is provided via Premier Protection from CCH Fee Protection, as we believe this product meets the demands and needs of our clients who wish to protect themselves from the financial burden of a tax investigation or compliance check.
The policy covers our fees for acting on your behalf in connection with a wide range of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) interventions - ranging from full tax enquiries into all aspects of your tax affairs, to informal reviews relating to specific areas of tax, including VAT and employer compliance.
HMRC’s powers have increased dramatically over recent years, allowing them much more access to information and records. This, combined with a draconian penalty regime, makes tax enquiries a stressful and potentially costly experience.
Having fee protection in place with us will give you the peace of mind that the professional costs of defending you from HMRC challenges will be met.
